De La Torre & Sons Septic conducts noninvasive inspections that leave both a property’s soil and system virtually undisturbed. These inspections can be very informative for prospective homeowners.
Why get an inspection?
Unfortunately, septic systems are often the last thing on the minds of potential homeowners. Before a home is purchased, buyers should figure out whether there are any existing or impending problems with the septic system.
While there is no guaranteed way to predict how long a septic system will last or if it will be able to handle the increased wastewater of a larger family, a septic inspection can yield useful information on the condition of the system, as it exists. An inspection often uncovers defects in the system which can save a purchaser expenses in the long term.
What we do
At De La Torre & Sons, the first thing we do is locate the tank, remove access cap and check affluent level. We water test leach fields for approximately 30-45 minutes. Cameras are ready, if needed, for non-invasive process. During this time, the liquid levels in the access pipes are observed and the absorption area is examined for seepage or lush growth. The technician relies on visual signs for detecting any defects in the system. This kind of inspection can be performed without damaging the lawn or risking any damage caused by digging up parts of the system.
